Day 1
Morning:
La Galerie Dior
Paris has always felt like a second home to me – just a quick Eurostar journey from London, offering a world of elegance, history, and charm! My weekend in Paris begins in the sophisticated 16th arrondissement, a residential district lined with elegant cream-colored buildings that exude classic Parisian allure.
From there, a short stroll takes me to La Galerie Dior, a must-see for fashion enthusiasts. Upon entering, I’m greeted by an elegant white spiral staircase set against a backdrop of miniature Dior creations. The gallery spans several floors, showcasing Christian Dior’s legacy, from demure cocktail dresses to bold runway statements. You may want to book in advance, as this gem often sells out quickly.

Midday:
Picture-Perfect Eiffel Tower Views
A leisurely stroll over the Seine brings me to Rue de l’Université, one of the best spots to capture the Eiffel Tower framed by elegant buildings. Though no longer a hidden gem, it remains a breathtaking view. Nearby, street vendors sell classic berets—perfect for anyone looking to embrace the ultimate Parisian aesthetic.

Afternoon:
Champs-Élysées & Musée Jacquemart-André
From there, I take a leisurely stroll down the Champs-Élysées for some shopping. This grand avenue is Paris’ answer to London’s Oxford Street or LA’s Rodeo Drive, with its upscale boutiques and high-end stores. (For even more shopping, you can visit the nearby Galeries Lafayette.) At the top of the Champs-Élysées stands the iconic Arc de Triomphe, a monument that takes on an extra layer of magic when lit up at night. While I haven’t yet done it myself, you can also climb to the top for sweeping panoramic views of the city.
After soaking in the lively energy of the area, I make my way to the Jacquemart-André Museum—a hidden gem often overlooked on standard itineraries. Once the opulent home of an art-loving couple, this private museum offers a window into 19th-century Parisian life. It’s a truly stunning place, offering both beauty and history in abundance.

Evening:
Views & Fine Dining at Girafe
I cap off my day with dinner at Girafe, where luxury meets spectacular Eiffel Tower views. The sophisticated gold-toned décor creates a glamorous yet relaxed atmosphere. As the tower sparkles, the view is nothing short of magical. The food, from fresh seafood to elegant French cuisine, is as impressive as the ambiance. Advance reservations are highly recommended, as this is one of the most sought-after dining spots in Paris.

✔ Explore La Galerie Dior (pre-book tickets)
✔ Capture the perfect Eiffel Tower view from Rue de l’Université
✔ Stroll, shop, or dine along the Champs-Élysées (or visit nearby Galeries Lafayette)
✔ Admire the Arc de Triomphe (optional climb for panoramic views)

Day 2
Morning:
The Light of the Louvre
I start the morning with a leisurely walk through the Jardin des Tuileries, a beautiful green space offering stunning views of the Louvre’s iconic glass pyramid.
Inside the Louvre, Mona Lisa captivates crowds with her enigmatic gaze – which followed me across the room! Beyond da Vinci’s masterpiece, the museum’s vast collection impresses, from breathtaking Renaissance paintings to fascinating Egyptian artifacts. For art lovers, dedicating a full day – or even multiple visits – is highly recommended, as there is so much to explore.

Afternoon:
Masterpieces at Musée d’Orsay & a Seine River Stroll
A short walk brings me to the Musée d’Orsay, an architectural gem housed in a former railway station. This museum is home to impressionist masterpieces by Monet, Van Gogh, Degas, and more. The grand clock face overlooking the Seine enhances the museum’s charm and has made its way into countless French films.
Stepping back outside, I take a leisurely 30 minute stroll along the Seine River, passing historic bridges and charming bookstalls filled with vintage treasures. There’s such a peaceful atmosphere and postcard-perfect views!

Late Afternoon:
The Notre-Dame Cathedral
I make my way to the Jardin du Luxembourg, which then leads me to one of Paris’s most iconic landmarks: The Notre Dame. The area around the cathedral is lined with heartfelt handwritten messages from visitors, all expressing their hopes for its restoration. Now that the Cathedral is welcoming guests once again, I’m eager to see how it’s been transformed as I haven’t yet had a chance to visit since its reopening.
(If you have extra time near Notre-Dame, you may want to consider visiting what I have heard is the charming Île Saint-Louis, just a short walk away. I have added this to the itinerary for one of my next trips.)

Evening:
Unforgettable Performance at La Seine Musicale
I transition into the evening with a scenic taxi journey to La Seine Musicale, one of Paris’s most stunning modern venues. With its sleek architectural design and world-class acoustics, it offers an intimate setting for everything from ballet and theater to international concerts. I was fortunate to discover that Usher was performing and booked tickets right away – an incredible night!

✔ Stroll through the Jardin des Tuileries
✔ Visit the Louvre
✔ Explore the Musée d’Orsay’s Impressionist masterpieces
✔ Take a peaceful Seine River walking tour of Paris
✔ Discover the beauty of the Jardin du Luxembourg
✔ Be awed by the Notre Dame
